Gillian Gray CEng MRINA

Principal Naval Architect

Gillian GrayGillian Gray (nee Gillian Fisher) has worked as a naval architect since her graduation in 1996 with a First Class Honours Degree from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow.  She cut her teeth at DML Devonport (now Babcock Marine Devonport) in Plymouth, becoming a Chartered Engineer and Member of the Royal Institution of Naval Architects in 2002.

From 2004 to 2007 Gillian enjoyed working in the cut and thrust of the busy shipyards of Austal in Western Australia.

Since starting the Gray Naval Architecture business in 2009 Gillian has worked on the design, manufacture and certification of a range of windfarm, fishing, ferries and workboats for a variety of clients including shipyards, owners, operators and private individuals.

Highly capable technically, Gillian is also very experienced in working with the rules and regulations governing the maritime industry today.  She relishes the challenges of marine design with the constant quest to satisfy the requirements of the Owner, the rulemakers and the Designer.
