SERVICES TO OWNERS

Gray Naval Architecture can assist Owners and prospective Owners by acting on their behalf by:

  • Lightship checks
  • Writing specifications for build of new vessels or modifications to existing vessels
  • For existing vessels: examining for compliance with relevant rules and regulations
  • For new vessels: working with the shipyard or designer to ensure the Owner’s requirements are translated into a workable design
  • Overseeing the vessel during the build or conversion to ensure the required standards are being met
  • Assessing progress for staged payments
  • Attending sea trials and accepting the vessel on behalf of the Owner
  • Collating and presenting the documentation required by law
